Landscaping Contract FAQ
What should a landscaping contract include?
A landscaping contract should include: a detailed list of services (mowing, trimming, fertilizing, planting, etc.), service frequency and schedule, property address, total cost or monthly rate, payment due dates, weather cancellation policy, material costs, liability for property damage, and termination notice requirements.
Do landscapers need a written contract?
While not legally required for all landscaping work, a written contract protects both the landscaper and the property owner. It clearly defines what services will be performed, the price, and what happens if there are disputes, missed visits, or property damage.
Who is responsible for damage during landscaping?
Your contract should address liability for property damage. Landscapers should carry general liability insurance. The contract can specify that the landscaper is liable for damages caused by their negligence, while pre-existing conditions and hidden underground utilities are excluded from liability.
Is this landscaping contract template free?
Yes, completely free โ no account, no watermark, no time limit. Edit and download as many landscaping contracts as you need.
What is a typical landscaping contract term?
Landscaping contracts are commonly structured as seasonal (spring-fall), annual (12-month), or month-to-month agreements. Annual contracts often include a discounted rate in exchange for commitment. Month-to-month contracts offer flexibility but may be priced slightly higher.
